Travelling is an amazing way to learn a lot of things in life. A lot of people around the world travel every year to many places. Moreover, it is important to travel to humans. Some travel to learn more while some travel to take a break from their life. No matter the reason, travelling opens a big door for us to explore the world beyond our imagination and indulge in many things.But travelling to throughout the world is not easy 20-hour flights, hopping between time zones, and being thrown into foreign cities is enough to fluster even the most seasoned travellers. While travelling and spending time abroad is an absolutely enriching experience, it can take a toll on your health if you aren’t careful.

Travelling could be a good as well as miserable experience of all time because travelling abroad is fun but dangerous due to the sudden change of climate , time and food etc. I’ve seen firsthand the importance of living healthy, especially while travelling. So, I wanted to share with you my 10 tips on how to stay healthy while travelling or interning abroad that hopefully you’ll be able to apply to any of your future travel endeavours! 

10 tips on how to stay healthy while travelling or interning abroad:

1.Eat healthy food
Staying healthy while travelling is all about making healthy choices, and that includes picking the right dishes when you’re eating out. Whenever possible, choose options that come with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.You can also make sure you eat healthy food by making your own meals. Even if you don’t have a kitchen nearby, you can still stock up on fresh ingredients and make easy meals, such as salads and sandwiches.

2. Drink plenty of water 
It’s easy to get dehydrated while travelling, so don’t forget to drink plenty of fluids. Start your day with a big glass of water, and make sure to carry a water bottle with you at all times.

3.Sleep
You’re more likely to get sick when you’re tired, so don’t skip sleep while you’re travelling. Being on the road is also more physically exhausting than being close to home, so be sure to listen to your body and rest when you need to. 

4.Basic workout 
Exercise is good for your body, whether you’re at home or travelling. If you can’t fit in time at a gym when you’re away from home, find other ways to move your body, like walking everywhere you can and taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

5. Limit the sweets and alcohol
Travelling is a time of  limitless exposure but some things must be in limit , such as not eating excessive desserts and drinking excessive . This might lead you to weight  gain and disrupted sleep .

6. Breakfast 
Morning breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. Very specifically choose a light and healthy menu for instance cereals,fruits,dry fruits,oats etc.

7. Stock your first aid kit 
Speaking of medicines, we always carry a first aid kit for general emergency.But do have staple items like anti-diarrheal medication, antihistamine, anti-motion sickness medication, pain relievers, laxative, antacid, antibacterial ointment, hand sanitizer, Band-aids, aloe gel for sunburns, Moleskin for blisters, and oral rehydration salts to help recover from vomiting or dehydration.

8.Boost Your Immune System
Keep your immune system boosted with healthy food. We like to carry supplements in our backpacks for times when we are travelling fast and hard. Healthy snacks are also important. Dried Cherries are a natural source of melatonin for jet lag promoting a healthy sleep. When your body has proper rest, it can fight sickness and disease better. 

9. Visit a medical clinic before travelling
If you visit a travel medical clinic before your trip, your doctor will be able to give you the proper injections and prescribe the medicine that you will need in case of an emergency.

10. Beat jet lag
Jet lag can detail your best intentions of staying healthy while you’re travelling and interfere with your ability to enjoy yourself. To avoid jet lag, try using melatonin or drinking chamomile tea to help you sleep on your flight and for the first few evenings once you reach your destination. We also recommend wearing earplugs and an eye mask to tune out any sensory distractions. She also recommends not using your smartphone, tablet, or laptop before sleeping.
